Well it has only been a few short months since we removed the trees on the left side of hole 2 and we are seeing a huge improvement in turf health and course playability. Almost instantly after removing the trees we noticed that the area dried up. The photo below shows how the areas that used to be very soft and unplayable are now in full sunlight. Despite the very wet spring we have experienced these areas are currently drier than they were in previous summers! This is just assurance that the tree removal was justified and that further removal work is in the best interest of the club. This area was completely unplayable for the past 3 seasons even in the dry summer months. Midday the entire fairways is in full sun and there are zero wet spots on this fairway.
